August 23, 2025, Reinhard and Helga Grosse-Wächter honored.
During the meeting in Balve (Germany), Mr. and Mrs. Grosse-Wächter were awarded the rank of Commander by the Noble Order.
It was a beautiful, well-attended ceremony in the “Balver Hölle” where Prince Merode, President of the EGS and Commander of the Noble Order, Jan Wannet, Vice-President of the Order, Peter-Olaf Hoffmann, Council Member and Grand Cordon of the Order, and Andréa Muller, referendar DSB, conferred the honors.
The Grosse-Wächter couple—a historic event for the Order—were both awarded the rank of Commander for their broad commitment to cultural life and the shooting community in particular. The merits of both and their immense dedication are an example to many. Their contributions to the community and social life, and especially to the youth, are a wonderful example of how rich and warm the shooting club life can be, and how social engagement always prevails.
It was a moving moment when they received heartfelt applause from hundreds of attendees.
We wish both of them many happy days, looking back on a full and wonderful life. The shooting club community, and the Noble Order in particular, are deeply grateful to both of them!
